IEP Basics

The IEP (Individualized Education Program)    is the written document for children with disabilities who receive special education services in the public school system.  It describes the educational plan designed to meet the child’s individual needs and is required for every child (three years of age and older) who qualifies for special education. It is developed by a team that includes members of the school staff and the parents.
