Welcome to the Vail School District

Earlier this month, Empire High School earned a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence award! The Blue Ribbon School program, now managed at the state level, is a tremendous achievement that recognizes schools for exceptional performance.

State departments of education across the country nominate their very best schools for the distinguished Blue Ribbon School award. The award recognizes exceptionally high achieving schools. This is not something any school can apply for as schools must first be nominated by the state, and fewer than ten are nominated each year. Once nominated by the state, schools submit an application similar in nature to our A+ applications.

This year, Empire High School was nominated for a Blue Ribbon. They submitted an application of the highest quality and rightfully earned the prestigious honor.

Vail has earned FIVE Blue Ribbon Awards including two at Mesquite Elementary, one at Acacia Elementary, one at Senita Valley Elementary, and now one at Empire High School!

Congratulations to all of our staff at Empire! Thank you for consistently providing high quality educational opportunities for your students since you opened your doors in 2005! You are absolutely most deserving of this recognition!
