Lisa Scott, Esmond Station science teacher, was named Arizona Teacher of the Year by the Arizona Educational Foundation at a ceremony on August 7! Lisa now moves on as Arizona’s representative for National Teacher of the Year.
Lisa concluded her acceptance speech by emphasizing that “our work is ensuring that the best in humanity outweighs the worst - and it is everyone’s responsibility. We must teach the students of Arizona how to develop into good humans and make them feel as valued and supported as my community and students have made me feel.”
