Geoff Parks
Andrada High School Principal

Geoff Parks grew up in a small town in Washington state. He graduated from Central Washington University with a Bachelor's degree in Biology education and Northern Arizona University with a Master's degree in educational leadership. Geoff started teaching in 1999 at the same small school from which he graduated high school. He moved to Vail in 2004 and met his wife in New Teacher Induction at Cienega High School. Geoff has a vast experience in his 26 years in education. He has been a science, math, and PE teacher, a Student Achievement Teacher, an Assistant Principal at the high school level, Principal at the high school and middle school level, a Superintendent in Washington state, and is now the Principal of Andrada High School. Mr. Parks believes that great leadership starts with a willing heart, a positive attitude, and a desire to make a difference. He looks forward to preparing Andrada students for college and for life. Mr. Parks was awarded Arizona Secondary Principal of the Year in 2026.

  • Students are provided with a variety of classes to challenge themselves including honors, AP, and college courses.

  • APHS offers one-of-a-kind opportunities for students including robust club and elective offerings and industry standard CTE certification through our award-winning pathway programs.

  • Connections are an important part of the culture at APHS, and students are given many ways to get involved in the school, in project based learning, in community connections, 3A competitive athletics, competitive extracurricular clubs, and industry/business internships.

  • 9 AP Courses

  • 12 Dual Enrollment Courses

  • CLEP Testing Center (34 3-Credit College Credit Bearing Tests Available for Free with Classes)

Vail Scholar Programs:

The Vail School District offers specific supports for families that have students who are high achieving and academically motivated. Each school has a program that is slightly different, however, the focus of each of these programs is to prepare students for admittance into highly selective universities and/or programs within universities. Transportation Policy

Vail USD High School Transportation Policy

High school students residing within a mile and a half radius with walking paths to the school do not receive bus transportation to and from school unless hazardous or difficult walking routes exist.

Students who live beyond the mile and a half radius receive transportation.

Students residing anywhere within the district beyond the mile and a half radius have transportation available to them to and from Andrada Polytechnic High School.
